The article Save $200 in 2 minutes and have the worlds best writing pen made the internet rounds a couple of days ago. In a nutshell, the Mont Blanc pen refill is about the same size as a Pilot G2 pen refill.
An additional bit of info, the Pilot Dr. GRIP gel pen uses the same G2 refill. I went to Staples and picked up a Mont Blanc refill 2 pack for $10, snipped off the top and stuck it in my Dr. GRIP pen. Very nice indeed.
