After becoming annoyed at the WordPress cartel blowing off Atom 1.0 in deference to Atom 0.3 and warping RSS 2.0 with multiple enclosures, i decided to take a walk.
It's interesting to evaluate changes in terms of the context at the moment. Only 3 years ago i was dumping MovableType for WordPress.
Something i noted there applies today, but more-so.
One of the beautiful things about using a weblog tool is that the content is seperate from the presentation templates.
And based on that principle, i moved from WP to Blogger in very short order as well. (It took me longer to create the .htaccess redirect permanent strings, since i left "www" behind.)
I stuck all the files in a Google code project: wp2blogger Enjoy.
Why did i move from MT to WP? I could more easily control the presentation of the content.
Why am i moving from WP to Blogger? Cause the feeds are all that really matter.
Times change, but the content remains the same.
Bonus: template for migrating from roller to blogger as well. Enjoy.
