Piping Some Feedstuffs

Finally played with the very geeky toy that is Yahoo! Pipes. Made my own "planet robinsonhouse". No, not for vanity sake, but because i could.

To save myself some time, i found someone else who had implemented the idea very well: Brad Choate. I've been following his pipe/feed since he first created it and it works very well.

Yahoo! Pipes allows you to clone any existing pipe, edit it and save it as your own. In addition to updating the URLs for the various fetch modules after doing the cloning deed, i customized a module to grab my Google reader starred items and added did some surgery to zap the contents of the articles so i wouldn't be republishing the starred articles content verbatim.

Note: the debugger/preview pane is useful.

A geek tool to be sure, but a useful tool. :-) I only wish the output were Atom 1.0 instead of RSS 2.0. :-/
