Some Thoughts on Why People Consider Leaving Their Job

The last time something happened that made you think your current job is not the one you want to be in... what was it that made you think about leaving that job?

I gave this some thought and decided to write-up a response. Since i respect my current boss, i decided to run it by him before posting it and gave him the leeway to edit out (redact) portions he thought would not be beneficial to the reader (or could be construed as embarrassing to my past, current or future employers).

Needless to say, this had nothing to do with not being appreciated, not being included, nor control over work. At least not directly.
